RECE BFt 27 OCT 15 I have laid before the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury Mr. Read's letter of the 6th instant 13017/1915) and its enclosures relative to possible claims by the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank against assets of liquidated enemy firms in Hongkong.
In reply I am to state for the information of Mr.Bonar Law that in Their Lordships' opinion these and similar claims should be included in the register to be kept by the Public Trustee under the authority of the Treasury letter of the 6th ultimo (No.17141/15).
My Lords presume that in due course notice will be given in each colony of the arrangements made and that the Bank will then be instructed to communicate with the executive officer concerned.
